Gonzaga Tickets Becoming Harder To Come By

Jan. 20, 2004

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University men's basketball fans wishing to see the Broncos host 15th-ranked Gonzaga next week should get their tickets soon.

Fewer than 500 tickets remain available for general public sale to the Jan. 31 contest that features the only two teams in the West Coast Conference that enter this weekend's action undefeated and at the top of the league standings. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., rather than SCU's usual 7 p.m. start, to accommodate a Fox Sports Net telecast.

To purchase tickets, click here or call the Bronco athletic ticket office at 408/554-4660. A few reserved seat tickets are still available as well as upper level general admission.

In addition, in an effort to ensure that as many Ruff Riders as possible are able to attend the game, all student seating for the Gonzaga game will require a ticket. Over 700 tickets will be guaranteed available for Ruff Riders.

Ruff Riders with a valid membership and ACCESS card can pickup their free ticket to the game on Thursday night, Jan. 29 at the Portland contest. The only guaranteed admission to the game for Santa Clara students will be through membership in Ruff Riders. No non-Ruff Rider student tickets will be sold for the Gonzaga game.

Ruff Rider memberships are available by clicking here or by coming to the athletic marketing office in the Leavey Center during business hours.

Ruff Riders will present their ticket and valid ACCESS card at the Southwest entrance to the Leavey Center to gain admission for the Gonzaga game. Seating in sections 106, 107, 108, 208 and 209 will be reserved for Ruff Riders and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For a Leavey Center seating diagram, click here.

The game will count toward the Ruff Rider Rewards program, which will determine priority for purchasing student tickets to the WCC Tournament SCU is hosting March 5-8 at the Leavey Center. The Ruff Riders who attend the most athletic events during the course of the 2003-04 academic year will receive priority to purchase WCC Tournament tickets for the Broncos' games only.
