LOS ANGELES, Calif. (AP) - Sherman Gay had 18 points, four steals and three blocks to lead Loyola Marymount to a 66-48 victory over Santa Clara Thursday night.

Gay made seven of 13 shots and scored 13 points in the second half to spark a Loyola Marymount comeback.

Trailing 38-35, the Lions went on a 15-5 run to take a 51-40 lead with 7:03 remaining in the game and were never seriously challenged the rest of the way.

Loyola Marymount (12-11, 3-7 West Coast Conference) snapped a two-game losing streak and held an opponent under 60 points for the sixth time this season.

Wes Wardrop scored 11 points and Charles Brown added 10 for the Lions.

The Broncos (13-12, 5-5), who scored just 18 points in the second half, remained winless in the conference on the road and have dropped five of their last seven games.

Kyle Bailey led Santa Clara with 12 points and Travis Niesen had 10 rebounds.

Bailey scored 10 points in the final three minutes of the first half to give the Broncos a 30-25 lead at the break.
