EYEBRONCOS! Santa Clara Basketball's Yannick Atanga Takes You Behind-the-Scenes On His Trip Home To Cameroon

Another video from EyeBroncos!

Summer vacation at Santa Clara for some means going home for a few days of vacation. For the rising sophomore on the Bronco men's basketball team, Yannick Atanga, it meant flying almost 8,350 miles one way to visit his family and friends in his hometown, Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Atanga was in Cameroon for 40 days this summer. He worked a basketball camp; and visited with his father, siblings, family and friends.  He also ate some interesting food - including snake and monkey.  He hadn't been home in years.  One of his special memories - his grandma stared at him for more than five minutes when he went to visit her because he had grown so much and she was shocked to see him. He also spent night and day with his two-year-old niece Lydie.

Click here for a behind-the-scenes interview with Atanga where he talks about his trip there and what kind of person he has become since his mother's untimely passing when he was 12.

Warning: this video will tug at your heart strings!
