SCU Men's Basketball Adds KLIV 1590 AM to Bronco Radio Network; Joins Long-Time Partner KDOW 1220 AM

Santa Clara is proud to announce it has added KLIV 1590 AM to the Bronco Radio Network for five select games during the 2012-13 season. The first game KLIV 1590 AM live broadcast is Saturday's game at Pacific at 5 pm.  Santa Clara continues to partner with KDOW 1220 AM as the flagship station of the Bronco Radio Network. All but one game will be broadcast live in its entirely the rest of the season (the Gonzaga game on Jan. 5 will be tape-delayed due to station programming).
Anthony Passarelli is in his sixth year as the Broncos' play-by-play announcer.

KLIV 1590 AM and sister station KRTY 95.3 FM are located in San Jose.

KDOW AM 1220 is the Bay Area's News Business Station, broadcasting financial news and information round the clock, powered by the financial engines of Bloomberg and CNBC. They are located in Fremont.

"KLIV is very excited to welcome Santa Clara Basketball to our local sports lineup," said George Samson, the Director of News and Programming for KLIV. "As Silicon Valley's News Station, we follow the Broncos in our regular sports coverage, so airing these games will give Bronco fans even more reason to tune in to KLIV at 1590 AM."

KLIV will do five games this year.  They include the Dec. 15 game at Pacific (5 pm tip), the Dec. 29 game at Duke (9 am tip), the Jan. 12 game vs. BYU (1:30 pm), the Jan. 26 game at San Diego (1:30 pm) and the Feb. 23 game at Portland (2 pm).

KDOW 1220 AM, which has been home to Bronco basketball for years, will broadcast the remainder of the games this season, including the West Coast Conference Championship and any post-season games.
