Santa Clara, Calif. - The 16-team field for the 2013 College Basketball Invitational presented by Buick (CBI) presented by Buick is complete.  Santa Clara (21-11, 9-6) will host Vermont (21-11, 11-5) in the first round at the Leavey Center on Tues., March 19 at 7 pm.  The Western Illinois at Purdue winner will host the winner of the Vermont at Santa Clara game on Mon., March 25.  It is the Broncos first post-season appearance since it won the 2011 CIT by winning its final three games on the road, including a thrilling 76-69 victory at Iona.  This season Vermont finished tied for second with Boston University in the America East Conference with Stony Brook winning the regular season title.

Fans can call the ticket office at 408-554-4660 to order tickets.  Click here to order tickets for Tuesday's CBI game with Vermont!  Season Ticket Holders: As a thank you for all your dedication, this game is included in your season ticket holder package and will be free (one to one ratio).  Non-season ticket holder ticket costs: $10 GA, $5 GA Senior/Child, $20 lower reserved/upper chair.  Ruff Riders will be admitted for free and non-Ruff Rider student tickets will be $5.

"We are fortunate to be in a position to play in the post-season again this season," said Bronco head coach Kerry Keating. "As we learned with our previous experience, continuing play is both helpful and rewarding.  We are excited to be able to have the opportunity to participate this season." 

The CBI presented by Buick is a single-elimination tournament up until the "best-of-three" Championship Series, with all games played at campus sites. After the Opening Round games, the Quarterfinal Round will take place on Mon., March 25, followed by the Semifinal Round on Wed., March 27. Prior to the semifinals, the remaining teams will be re-bracketed. The Championship Series is a best-of-three in which one team will host two of the three games. Those games will be played on April 1, April 3, and April 5.

Santa Clara, led by two All-WCC players in Marc Trasolini and Kevin Foster, finished fourth in the West Coast Conference - a league that features 2013 NCAA tournament teams No. 1 seed Gonzaga and No. 11 seed Saint Mary's.  Vermont made it to its league finals before the Catamounts fell 53-49 to Albany on their home floor in the finals of the America East Conference Tournament.
