SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara head men's basketball coach Kerry Keating announced two additional signees for the 2013 Bronco signing class on Wed., May 22, 2013. The new members of the 2013 Santa Clara class are Emmanuel Ndumanya (Enugu, Nigeria) and Fresno State graduate Jerry Brown (Richmond, Calif.). The class already includes Jared Brownridge (Rockford, Ill.), Jarvis Pugh (Murphy, Texas) and Jalen Richard (San Tan Valley, Ariz).
"Obviously with what we are preparing to replace at the guard positions with this class, there is a high bar set," said Keating. "The coaching staff is excited and confident with this group, joining the returning players to carry our program into the future."

"Obviously he possess a great deal of size, but it's his willingness to learn and improve each and every day is really what is exciting. He has only played basketball for a short amount of time and his best basketball is ahead of him. We are excited he will be here at Santa Clara."
"I chose Santa Clara University because it is a sound Catholic institution," said Ndumanya. "I am also interested in International Business and I was impressed with the Department chair."
Jerry Brown
6-7 forward who went to Sacred Heart High School in the Bay Area before playing college basketball for three years at Fresno State University … Enrolled in the new one-year entrapurship master's program at SCU … In 2012-13 he averaged 22.7 mpg, scoring 5.7 ppg and 4.3 rpg … Named Fresno State's 2013 Defender of the Year … Graduated with a degree in Communication in May of 2013 … In 2011-12 he appeared in all 33 games, starting 29; averaged 8.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 30.5 mpg ... Also recorded 31 assists, 27 blocks and 35 steals … redshirted in 2010-11 … In 2009-10, he appeared in 31 of the team's 33 games ... Averaged 2.9 ppg and 1.6 rpg ... Played at least 10 minutes in 16 games with an average of 16 mpg over the final 12 games … During his senior season at Sacred Heart Cathedral, he averaged 16 ppg and eight rpg ... "As a recent college graduate, Jerry gives us much needed experience and size, especially on the defensive side of the ball," said Keating. "Obviously he has made a huge decision in his life to pursue a master's degree here at Santa Clara while using his last year of eligibility. He will enroll in our new one-year Entrepreneur master's program. It only speaks volumes to Jerry's character and discipline to take on such a task."
"I chose Santa Clara because it was a school that can offer me a lot in regards to their style of play, location and it is a great academic institution," said Brown. "My family can watch me play without traveling. I feel like I have a great support system in the Bay Area. The master's program is one year. It is really going to push me academically, but it's what I signed up for and I am very excited to be able to get my master's."
