Kansas City, Mo. -- Leading the West Coast Conference with four Bronco men's basketball players named to the list, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Wednesday announced the NABC Honors Court, recognizing those collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2012-13 season. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

Of the more than 285 NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institutions on the list, Santa Clara was one of just 62 schools to place four or more on the list. Santa Clara led the WCC with four honorees. Pepperdine had one and Saint Mary's and Portland each had two honorees.

Marc Trasolini graduated Cum Laude in March of 2012 with a 3.61 GPA in Finance and then worked on his MBA through the Spring 2013 quarter. He sits with a 3.591 GPA in his MBA program.  Trasolini was named to the national Capital One CoSIDA national Academic All-American Third Team this spring as well as being named to the All-WCC First Team. He was also honored as a finalist for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award, gaining All-American honors on the list as well.

Raymond Cowels III graduated in June with a 3.216 GPA in Management.  On February 19th, 2013 in the second half of a game versus Pepperdine, Cowels III became the 31st player in school history to score 1,000 career points with a corner three that swished through the net. He finished his career in the fourth spot for career three-pointers made with 219.

Julian Clarke will be a junior next year and carries a 3.393 GPA in Biochemistry.

Four-year walk-on and fan favorite Kyle Perricone graduated with a 3.435 GPA in Bioengineering in June 2013.

2. Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2012-13 academic year.

3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
