Welcoming four true freshmen and graduate-transfer Jerry Brown (Fresno State), Santa Clara looks to reload quickly after posting the best turnaround season in NCAA history in 2012-13 as it announced the 2013-14 schedule on Tuesday.   The Broncos will play at least three times on ESPNU and twice on the CBS Sports Network in nationally televised games. Additional games that will be televised regionally will be announced later this month.

Santa Clara will host 17 games in 2013-14, including two teams as part of the Continental Tires Classic in Las Vegas.  The Broncos will play at Notre Dame on the eve of the Notre Dame – BYU football game.  It will also play three in-state games in the preseason. The annual game with San Jose State is on Nov. 12 at the Leavey Center. 

The 47th annual Cable Car Classic will be played over Thanksgiving weekend for the first time in school history. Click here for the release.  Santa Clara will face off vs. North Dakota State at 8 pm on Fri., Nov. 29.  Rice will play Rider on the same night at 6 pm.  The consolation game will be held at 6 pm on Nov. 30 and the championship game will be held at 8 pm.

The three Bronco ESPNU games include: at Gonzaga (Dec. 28 at 5 pm); at BYU (Feb. 6, 8 pm Pacific); and vs. USF (Feb. 15 at 8 pm).  The West Coast Conference quarterfinals, semi-finals and championship will all be shown on the ESPN Network as well.

Santa Clara will host Radford (Dec. 16) and Sacred Heart (Dec. 18) as part of the Continental Tires Las Vegas Classic. The Broncos will then travel to Las Vegas Dec. 22-23, again the site of the West Coast Conference Championship March 6-11.  Santa Clara will play UNLV at 7:30 pm at the Orleans Arena on Dec. 22. It will play either Mississippi State or South Florida on Dec. 23 with the time TBA. Both games will be shown on the CBS Sports Network.

The WCC welcomes the University of Pacific to the league this year after welcoming BYU two years ago.  The Broncos will host nine league games this season.  League games of note at the Leavey Center include BYU (Jan. 18), Gonzaga (Jan. 30), USF (Feb. 15), Pacific (Feb. 20) and Saint Mary's (Feb. 20). 

The Bronco roster includes five newcomers, including graduate transfer Jerry Brown (Fresno State). The four freshmen brought in by head coach Kerry Keating and his staff include Jared Brownridge (Illinois), Jalen Richard (Arizona), Jarvis Pugh (Texas) and Emmanuel Ndumanya (Nigeria).  Brown, a Richmond, Calif. native, will work on a Communication Master's in the next year.
