SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara, playing its 108th season of men's basketball, will open the 2014-15 West Coast Conference schedule at rival Saint Mary's on Dec. 27 - the earliest league game the Broncos have ever played.  The Broncos will be aiming to win their second straight game in Moraga after last season's thrilling 57-55 victory on Jan. 9.

This year Santa Clara will begin WCC play with four of six on the road.  Santa Clara will play three straight games in mid-January at home and then hit the road for three straight in mid-February.

Looking closer at the WCC slate, the Broncos will play their first game on New Years Day, vs. BYU, since 1969.  The Broncos defeated Oklahoma City 92-82 on Jan. 1, 1969 - a season they finished ranked No. 3.  They will also be on the road at San Francisco on Valentine's Day.  Its last game on Valentine's Day was more recent, a 61-52 victory vs. San Diego in 2013.

The Broncos will host Gonzaga on Feb. 5 and Saint Mary's on Feb. 28 to finish conference play.

The Broncos will start with Tennessee at 9 am (Pacific) on Thanksgiving Day on ESPN2 and then either play Kansas or Rhode Island the next day. The loser will play the same match-ups loser in the Consolation No. 1 game on Friday at either 9 am (ESPN) or 11:30 am (ESPNU).
