Mission City Federal Credit Union Named Team Santa Clara Partner As Official Credit Union of the Broncos

Santa Clara, California – Santa Clara University and the Bronco Athletic Department announced on Tuesday a new major sponsor, Mission City Federal Credit Union (MCFCU).  MCFCU is now the official credit union of the athletic department.

Mission City Federal Credit Union joins Coca-Cola, Devcon Construction, Lunardi's Markets, One Workplace and Stevens Creek BMW at the highest level of corporate partnerships, Team Santa Clara.

A long-standing institution in the Santa Clara Community, Mission City Federal Credit Union first began its exclusive partnership with Santa Clara University in 1972. MCFCU is a private credit union and members must be Santa Clara University Students/Staff, or Santa Clara Alumni, or employees of the City of Santa Clara.

The sponsorship will be showcased in the Leavey Center on the center hung scoreboard as well as during competitions where they will have a presence.

"This partnership is really important for Santa Clara Athletics and the direction we are headed in the next few years," said Jimmy Shoven, Assistant Athletic Director for Development. "It is a great fit for our department.  Having one of the most successful and most respected businesses in our local community strengthens our programs and reputation, while providing extra funds to further our mission."

MCFCU offers virtually all of the same services that you find at commercial banks, just at highly competitive rates and lower, if any, fees. They boast a 2% interest rate checking account and a host of refinancing options that have proven to save their members a lot of money on their loans from other institutions.

More About Mission City Federal Credit Union

Mission City Federal Credit Union was founded in 1959 by a hand full of Santa Clara City Employees who shared the common vision of people helping people, and the belief that dreams do come true. As a group of employees earning meager pay they came together, pooled their resources, and created financial opportunities that they wouldn't be able to obtain individually. Decades later the original values remain unchanged, but the financial strength of the credit union has grown – which generally means they offer members better financial deals than those offered by the commercial banks. Together we members get higher savings rates, lower loan rates, fewer fees, and a long list of additional benefits and perks.  For more information visit www.missioncityfcu.org or call (408) 244-5818.
