Osborne, Eisenmann Fill Assistant AD Positions

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics has hired Leslie Osborne as Assistant Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Sports and Student-Athlete Leadership and Kyle Eisenmann as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.  Osborne is a 2005 graduate of Santa Clara where she earned her B.A. in Communications. Eisenmann graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce in 2007 with a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Management and minored in Psychology. He received his J.D. in 2010 from Temple University's Beasley School of Law.

"Both Leslie and Kyle are valuable additions to our administrative team," said Interim Director of Athletics Jeff Mitchell. "I am thrilled that they are joining Santa Clara at this exciting time for the University.  Leslie is a tried and true Bronco with deep ties to our community.  Her passion for student-athlete development will enable her to grow the leadership training component of our student-athlete experience. Kyle will strengthen our compliance office and provide consistent and dedicated legal and regulatory leadership to continue our impressive compliance record.  Our department and sports programs will move confidently in our future pursuits behind Kyle's thoughtful and thorough guidance."

"I am very honored and excited to serve as one of the Assistant Athletic Directors here," said Osborne. "My time here as a student-athlete was truly remarkable and the professors, athletics administration, teammates, and coaches helped shaped me in to the person and leader I am today. I am looking forward to working closely with our student-athletes and coaches to help them be the best teams and individuals they can be."

"Sports, particularly college sports, have long been a passion of mine," said Eisenmann.  "Given my legal education and experience in the field of compliance, albeit dealing with federal laws and regulations, NCAA compliance was of immense interest. Santa Clara provided me with the opportunity to dive right into the world of NCAA compliance. It is an exciting time for Santa Clara athletics.  I am thrilled, and incredibly thankful, to be part of an athletic department primed to return to the stage of national prominence."

In July 2014 Osborne was named the Director of the Jerry Smith Coaching for Life Academy at Santa Clara where she was responsible for the coordination and execution of events, marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, community outreach, budgeting, and business development. She oversaw the development of the Academy's first undergraduate course Intro to Sports Leadership in partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences.

From 2005 to 2013 Osborne was a professional soccer player with FC Gold Pride, Boston Breakers, and Chicago Red Stars. She was elected team captain on all three teams. She also earned 61 caps with the US National Team from 2004-10 and played on the 2007 World Cup Team where she was a U.S. Soccer Player of the Year finalist.

Since 2013 Osborne has worked as a TV anchor at Fox Sports where she provides in-studio analysis for all U.S. soccer games.

At Santa Clara Osborne was a three-time All-American as well as the 2004 Honda Award Winner. She was named to the 2001 and 2004 College Cup All-Tournament team and was a two-time WCC Player of the Year. In 2011 she became the fourth Bronco to have her jersey honored.

Eisenmann has been working in the compliance office at Santa Clara since January of 2015. In his role as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Eisenmann will coordinate the department's NCAA compliance program.

Before coming to Santa Clara Eisenmann was an Associate Attorney at Kenney & McCafferty, P.C. from 2010-15. There he represented clients in multi-million dollar actions under the Federal False Claims Act ("FCA"), and in claims under the IRS and SEC Whistleblower Programs.

In doing so, he assisted the U.S. Government, including U.S. Attorneys and the Department of Justice as well as agents and attorneys of the IRS and SEC, in prosecuting claims of fraud against the government.

Eisenmann played soccer at Virginia from 2004-05 and was on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
