Quick Hits...
• The Broncos, led by ninth-year head coach Kerry Keating, are finishing up a stretch of three straight home games. With finals in session last week, the schedule was light with just one game (Dec. 5 vs. San Jose State) in a 12-day span. Santa Clara played four games in seven days last month at the Wooden Legacy and are now in the midst of five in 12 days.
• Junior guard Jared Brownridge, a two-year starter, leads the team in scoring at 17.8 points per contest, which is third in the WCC. He is second on the team in both assists (2.6 pg) and rebounding (career-high 4.5 pg). Junior forward Nate Kratch is second in scoring (11.7 ppg) and leads the team in both rebounding (10.0 pg/third in the WCC) and field-goal percentage (60.8/third in the WCC). Kratch's 3.9 offensive rebounds per game lead the league.
• Despite playing just two seasons, Brownridge already ranks sixth in school history with 207 career 3-pointers made and 24th in scoring (1,254 points). In addition, his career scoring average (16.7 ppg) ranks No. 6 on the Broncos all-time chart and his career 3-point field-goal percentage (41.3) is tops in school history. After missing most of preseason practice Brownridge, however, has not been as accurate in the early going this season, connecting on 33 percent of his field goals, including 28 percent from beyond the 3-point line. But he is coming off one of his best shooting games, connecting on 8 of 16 field goal attempts vs. Pacific Union. Brownridge has only turned the ball over just 19 times on the year, despite averaging 35.9 minutes a game (second in the WCC) while being the focal point of the offense.
• The Broncos have four players on the shelf. Sophomore guard Evan Wardlow is the newest addition to the injury list. He missed the last two games and will be out of action for approximately two months after being diagnosed with a broken right wrist. Sophomore forward Jarvis Pugh (knee) has missed the last four games, junior guard Brendyn Taylor (concussion) has missed the last six, and freshman forward Tony Lewis (leg) has not played this season.

Trends...
• During the last four games, Nate Kratch is averaging 18.8 points and 12.0 rebounds. In that span, he has hit 31 of 45 field goals (68.9 percent) and 20 of his 48 rebounds have been at the offensive end.
• In the last three games, freshman guard KJ Feagin has averaged 9.3 points, 5.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds. He is averaging 2.8-to-1 assists-to-turnovers in those games.
• Guard Kai Healy has at least six rebounds in the last four games, averaging 6.5 during that span.

Scouting the Golden Lions...
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-8) has certainly been road tested this year, having played all 10 of its games away from home, including trips Michigan State and Iowa State, a pair of top 10 teams. The Golden Lions, who play in the SWAC, are led by senior guard/foward JoVaughn Love and junior guard Ghiavonni Robinson. Love leads the team in both scoring (10.8 points per game) and rebounding (5.3 pg). Robinson is second in scoring at 9.9 ppg and first in assists at 2.0 pg. Love and Robinson are the only two players to start all 10 games. The Golden Lions have 10 players who average at least 10 minutes per game. The Broncos and Golden Lions have never met.

Kratch Active in the Paint...
Nate Kratch has been Santa Clara's top inside presence this season. Not only has the junior led the team in rebounding in all but one game, but he has also honed his postup game, scoring in double figures five times, including four of the last five contests. He has tallied double figures in rebounding the last three games, including a career-high 18 last time out vs. Pacific Union. Kratch had his first offensive outbreak on Nov. 19 vs. UC Riverside when he posted his first career double-double (22 points/12 rebounds). Kratch, who is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game, had Santa Clara's first double-double since Matt Hubbard had 12 points and 11 rebounds vs. San Diego on Jan. 3, 2015. Kratch went on to post double-doubles in the last three games. He 12 points and 10 points vs. Boston College (Nov. 29), a career-high 29 points and 12 rebounds vs. San Jose State (Dec. 5), and tallied 24 points with his career-best 18 rebounds vs. Pacific Union (Dec. 12).

Impressive Company...
Not only was Nate Kratch's 18 rebounds vs. Pacific Union a career high, but it was also the most by a Santa Clara player in nearly seven years. John Bryant posted 27 rebounds vs. San Diego on March 7, 2009. Bryant recorded 20 or more rebounds eight times that season en route to averaging a single-season school-record 14.2 per game. Kratch also had 10 offensive rebounds vs. Pacific Union, the most by a Broncos player since Bryant had 10 vs. Stanford on Dec. 23, 2008. That was the only time Bryant had that many during 2008-09.

Notables...
• Nate Kratch and KJ Feagin have been the team's most accurate shooters. Kratch has connected on 60.8 percent from the floor (third in the WCC), including 68.9 in the last four games, scoring mostly in the paint, while Feagin has hit 51.6 percent of his field-goal attempts on a mix of drives and jump shots. Forward Jarvis Pugh has connected on 52 percent from the floor, though he has missed the last four games.
• Kratch has posted five double-digit rebound games this season.
• Feagin has totaled 20 assists during the last four games (5.0 pg), playing in a combined 104 minutes (26.0 pg). He played a career-high 36 minutes vs. Pacific Union.
• Brownridge and Kratch are the only players to start all 10 games. Freshman forward Henrik Jadersten started for the first time in his career and sophomore guard Evan Wardlow made his first start of the season (second of his career) vs. UC Irvine (Nov. 23). Wardlow went on to start the next three games. Healy made his first start of the season (second of his career) vs. San Jose State (Dec. 5). Healy has also averaged 8.0 points over the last three games.

By The Numbers…
4...Jared Brownridge (1,254) needs four more points to move 24th to 22nd on the school's career scoring list. Frank Sobero (1957-60) had 1,256 and Mitch Burley (1985-89) posted 1,258.
6...The Broncos have used six different starting lineups this season.
8...Nate Kratch has eight rebounds in eight of 10  games this season, including 12 vs. UC Riverside (Nov 19), 14 vs. UC Irvine (Nov. 23), 12 vs. San Jose State and .
