EYEBRONCO: Yannick Atanga welcomes Matt Hubbard

A three-year forward who played in 68 career games with 37 starts ... averaged 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in his career … limited as a junior due to offseason ankle surgery ...decided to leave the program the week of Dec. 18, 2016 … on schedule to graduate in the spring of 2017 … member of the 2014-15 WCC All-Freshman team.

AS A JUNIOR (2016-17): Played in eight games as a reserve … saw limited time (52 minutes) due to offseason ankle surgery … played a season-high 19 minutes against No. 8/9 Arizona (Nov. 24), but only five the following day vs. Vanderbilt … played in a combined seven minutes in his final three appearances (San Jose State, Dec. 3; Cal State East Bay, Dec. 10; UC Riverside, Dec 13).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-16): Played in 28 of 31 games with 13 starts ... ranked fifth on the team in scoring (6.0 ppg) ... had a stretch of four of five games scoring in double figures before spraining an ankle vs. Saint Mary’s (Dec. 23) ... did not miss time, but the injury reduced his minutes and hampered him the remainder of the season ... had a career-high 16 points at San Francisco (Feb. 6)… made his first start in 13 games vs. LMU (Feb. 18), playing 30 minutes and posting a season-best four assists ... missed the Saint Mary’s (Feb. 25), Pacific (Feb. 27) and BYU (March 5) games due to concussion protocol.
