2016-17 Men's Basketball Schedule

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara men's basketball game times for the 2016-17 season have been finalized with Thursday's West Coast Conference announcement of regional broadcast outlets for league games.

Last month, the league set ESPN platform game times. Santa Clara home games vs. Gonzaga (Jan. 19) and BYU (Jan. 26), and a road contest vs. the Zags (Feb. 4) will air on ESPNU and tip off at 8 p.m.

The Broncos' conference opener at BYU on Dec. 29 with air on BYU TV and seven other league games will be shown on a combination of Comcast SportsNet, Spectrum SportsNet (formerly Time Warner Cable SportsNet) and ROOT Sports outlets. The remaining seven games will be shown exclusively on TheW.tv, the league's video streaming platform.

Santa Clara plays San Francisco at 3 p.m. on Dec. 31 in the WCC home opener. That game will air on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, ROOT Sports Northwest, Spectrum SportsNet and be streamed on TheW.tv.

At least five Santa Clara games this year will air nationally. The Broncos have two tilts – vs. Arizona (Nov. 24) and either Vanderbilt or Butler (Nov. 25) in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational – scheduled on FOX Sports 1 (FS1).

In addition, the 2017 WCC Tournament in Las Vegas will be featured on ESPN's popular Championship Week coverage, with five telecasts: two quarterfinal games (March 4, ESPN2), the semifinals (March 6, ESPN and ESPN2) and the championship game on March 7 (ESPN).

The Broncos, heading into their first season under head coach Herb Sendek, will play eight of their 13 nonconference games in Leavey Center, beginning the regular season on Nov. 11, against Northern Arizona during the opening day of the 50th Annual Cable Car Classic. UC Davis and Tennessee State round out the four-team field in the three-day event.

The Broncos will play one exhibition game, facing Life Pacific College on Nov. 5 in Leavey Center.
