EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Senior guard Jared Brownridge landed on the 2016-17 preseason All-West Coast Conference men's basketball team, which was announced Monday at the league's annual tipoff event at Spectrum Studios.

Brownridge was a first team All-WCC selection each of the two past seasons. He averaged 20.6 points per game in 2015-16, which was 21st nationally. He already ranks fifth in school history in scoring (1,716 points) and his 41.7 three-point field goal percentage is first in the record book.

The native of Aurora, Illinois, headlines the top eight scorers returning for the Broncos, who begin the 2016-17 regular season on Friday, Nov. 11, with the opening of the 50th Annual Cable Car Classic.

Santa Clara, who is about to start its first season under head coach Herb Sendek, was picked to finish fifth in WCC standings.

Other key returners include senior forward Nate Kratch and sophomore guard KJ Feagin. Kratch, a two-year starter, ranked fifth in the WCC in rebounding (7.9 points per game) and was third on the team in scoring (8.8 ppg) in 2015-16. Feagin was a WCC All-Freshman team pick last season when he averaged 11.4 points and 3.8 assists per game. However, Feagin is out of action indefinitely with a broken bone in his foot.

The Broncos play one exhibition game, facing Life Pacific College on Saturday in Leavey Center.
