Brownridge Lands on WCC Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team

LAS VEGASJared Brownridge of Santa Clara men's basketball earned a spot on the West Coast Conference All-Tournament team, which was announced at the conclusion on Monday's final between Gonzaga and Saint Mary's.

The senior guard averaged 30.0 points in the Broncos' two games in the tournament.

He scored a game-high 28 points, including 17 in the second half, to help the fourth-seeded Broncos hold off No. 5 seed San Francisco, 76-69, in Saturday's quarterfinal matchup. He made all 11 of his free-throw attempts and tallied 12 of Santa Clara's final 20 points.

Two days later in the semifinals, Brownridge tallied a game-high 32 points in a 77-68 loss to top-seeded Gonzaga, which won the title. Brownridge, who extended his school record by scoring 30-plus points for the 12th time, connected on 12 of 25 from the floor in the team's season finale.

In seven career WCC Tournament games, Brownridge averaged 26.0 points on 46.8 percent shooting from the floor, including 45.3 from behind the 3-point line, and 92.1 percent from the free-throw line.

John Bryant (2009) was the last Bronco to secure a spot on the WCC All-Tournament team.
