KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Guard Kai Healy and forward Nate Kratch of Santa Clara men's basketball were named to the 2016-17 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, which recognizes upperclassmen who excel on and off the floor.
Healy, entering his senior season, played in 32 of 33 games last season, averaging 17.1 minutes per game and connecting on 39 percent of his 3-pointers. He maintains a 3.28 grade-point average in communication.
Kratch completed his eligibility last season by starting all 33 games en route to securing honorable mention All-West Coast Conference honors. He played in all 129 contests during his four-year career.
Kratch earned his bachelor's degree in psychology in the spring of 2015 and has been enrolled in graduate school ever since where he maintains 3.92 GPA in counseling psychology.
Honors Court Criteria:
• Academically, a junior or senior, and a varsity player.
• Cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year.
• Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
• Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
