Healy, Ndumanya Land on WCC All-Academic Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Just one day before playing their final home game, Kai Healy and Emmanuel Ndumanya secured spots of the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, which was announced Wednesday.

Healy and Ndumanya were each selected for the first time.

A fifth-year senior who is in his second season as the starting center, Ndumanya has played in all 28 games, including 25 starts, in 2017-18. He is shooting a team-high 51.8 percent from the field and is second on the team in rebounding (5.1 per game).

Healy is a fourth-year guard whose 109 career games played leads the team. This season, he has played in 24 games with eight starts.

Healy and Ndumanya have helped key a late-season resurgence for the Broncos (11-17, 8-8) who are tied for fifth in the WCC standings.

Over the last eight games, Ndumanya is averaging 10.6 points, on 60.4 percent shooting from field, and 5.8 rebounds.

Healy has started each of the last eight games, averaging 38 minutes 6.8 points and 4.0 rebounds.

The Broncos, who have won three straight, play their final regular-season home game Thursday against Loyola Marymount.
