SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The season is nearly three months away, but Santa Clara men's basketball continued has stayed busy this summer in preparation.
The Broncos, heading into year No. 4 under head coach Herb Sendek, have been meshing eight returning players, including the top five scorers from 2018-19, with five newcomers.
Per NCAA rules, summer activity includes four hours of practice time on the court and four additional hours per week for strength and conditioning with assistant director of athletics Bob Medina who oversees sports performance.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
In addition to practicing with the Broncos, three members of the team – Jaden Bediako, Guglielmo Caruso and Juan Ducasse - played internationally this summer.
Before arriving on campus, Bediako, a freshman, played for Canada in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Greece.
In July, Caruso joined Italy at the FIBA Under-20 European Championship in Israel.
Ducasse saw his first action since 2018 when he joined Uruguay for the Pan American Games in Peru. Ducasse missed 2018-19 with a knee injury.
