NOTES

  • The Broncos are back home for four-straight games beginning with Saturday's 4:30 p.m. tip against UC Irvine (3-1). The game is the back end of a doubleheader with the Santa Clara women's team.

  • Santa Clara is coming off their first loss of the season, a 59-52 final against Fresno State in the Venue Twin SoCal Challenge Surf Division Championship Game. The Broncos (5-1) own wins over three quality opponents in blowout fashion - Stanford (88-72), Nevada (96-74), TCU (85-68). The high-powered offense was mostly held in check against the Bulldogs, however the Broncos still rank second in the WCC at 82.0 points per game.

  • Prior to the setback against Fresno State, the Broncos had won five-straight to open the season, including four-straight double digit victories.

  • The Broncos played a great defensive game against Fresno State, holding the Bulldogs to just 59 points and a 33 percent shooting clip, however their offense was unable to find much rhythm as they were held well-under their season averages for FG percentage (36.0), 3-point FG percentage (39.0) and points (52).

  • Santa Clara continues to rank highly in the NCAA D1 in several key areas - 10th in FG percentage (52.3), 13th in 3-point FG percentage (41.9) and 16th in total assists (108).
