George Neilson has completed three years as Santa Clara's director of men’s basketball operations.
Neilson spent the 2015-16 season as a basketball operations associate for the Chicago Bulls before joining the Santa Clara staff. With the Bulls he created personnel reports and video edits for each opponent and ran individual workouts.
Prior to his stint in the NBA, he spent two seasons at Arizona State under current Santa Clara head coach Herb Sendek.
He was the video coordinator during 2014-15 and a graduate assistant the previous year when he participated in skill development workouts and managed a video library of opponents.
During the 2011-12 season, Neilson was a volunteer assistant video coordinator at Alabama where he spent the previous two seasons as a student manager. He went on to become a graduate assistant at Drake in 2012-13.
Neilson received his bachelor of science in physical education in 2011 from Alabama and got his master's in liberal studies from Arizona State in 2014.
