SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Kyle Bailey scored 17 points, including a three-pointer at the buzzer, to lift Santa Clara past Idaho State 79-76 on Friday night.

Bailey's heroics helped the Broncos (8-7) overcome a school record 15 three-pointers from the Bengals.

David Emslie added 14 points, while Jamie Holmes and Steve Ross each had 13 for Santa Clara, which has won four of its last five games.

Tim Erickson scored a season-high 22 points to lead Idaho State (4-7), which lost its second straight game. D'Marr Suggs had 20 points.

Emslie sank two free throws with 54 seconds left as the Broncos took a six-point advantage, but Suggs hit a three-pointer 10 seconds later to cut the lead in half. After Bailey hit one of two free throws, Suggs hit another three-pointer, which set the school record, and Idaho State was within one.

Idaho State shot 59 percent from the field, including 73 percent from three-point range, in the first half, yet still needed a three-pointer from Erickson late in the half to take a 40-38 halftime lead.
