Quotes - Santa Clara at San Francisco

Recap |  Final Stats

Kerry Keating, on game: "I have told our guys all year that winning games starts on the defensive end and that was the case tonight. If you energize on defense, then you get good shots on offense. The team did a good job of holding them under 40 percent shooting and hitting 55 percent ourselves. I am happy we got the win."

Keating, on winning on the road: "It is always tough to win on the road and tonight was another big road win for us. I am particularly proud of the team bouncing back from a loss on Saturday at San Diego that we felt like we gave away."

Keating, on coaching against Eddie Sutton: "Coach Sutton has been coaching for as long as I have been alive. Anyone that lasts three decades in this business deserves to be in the Hall of Fame no matter how many games he has won. I have a lot of respect for the elder coaches in this profession, including Coach Sutton. I am happy for the opportunity to coach against him and with him in this conference this season."

John Bryant, on game: "We started slow on Saturday and not playing as hard as we could, but tonight we played hard right from the start. We had a 40-minute effort tonight which is what we need to win games in the conference."

Bryant, on his defense: "We were switching pretty well and I was trying to get out on the screens. I also got my hands up a couple of times and I was fortunate to get some blocks."

Bryant, on being focal point of offense: "I have been working hard all year to put out a good effort every night. I think that I am now getting comfortable being the top scoring option. I am just going to keep working hard for the team and I will try to do all the little things right and hopefully help the team win."
