LAS VEGAS -- On a snowy night in Las Vegas, Wink Adams had 16 points and five assists to lead UNLV past Santa Clara 78-66. UNLV now leads the all-time series 8-7.

For the first time this season, Santa Clara put five players in double figures. John Bryant led Santa Clara with 12 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks - collecting his 31st career double-double. Bryant moved over the 800 mark in career rebounds, being the sixth SCU player in school history to accomplish this feat. He currently has 808 career rebounds.

The Broncos' Kevin Foster added 14 points, James Rahon scored 13 and Perry Petty tossed in 11.

UNLV led 42-28 at halftime after shooting 50 percent from the floor. The Rebels extended the lead to 22 late in the second half and never trailed. Rene Rougeau added 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Santa Clara shot 44.6% to UNLV's own 45.9% for the game, but shot a perfect 11 of 11 from the free throw line, with Kevin Foster knocking down 3 of 3 from the charity stripe.

The Broncos played their second straight game without Troy Alexander (left shoulder) and Marc Trasolini (lower back), who both sat out due to injuries.
