    Santa Clara men's rowing will compete in the Western Sprints regatta at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif. on Sat., May 17. Gonzaga University, UC San Diego, University of San Diego and Santa Clara make up the field of four teams in the final scheduled race of the Broncos' 2014 sprint season.

From his beginnings with the sport on a freezing morning in New Jersey to his recovery from a bulging disk, Timken gave us a look into what it takes to be a bronco rower.
  • Men's Rowing Collects Two Medals at WIRA Championships

    Men's rowing took part in one of the biggest events of the season, the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championship at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif. on April 26-27. The men competed in four events: varsity 4, novice 8, novice lightweight 4 and pair without coxswain, bringing home a silver and bronze medal over the weekend.

  • Men’s Rowing Announces 2014 Schedule: Season Begins March 2

    Santa Clara men’s rowing announced its 2014 schedule Wednesday, featuring seven events across 10 days from March 2 – May 17. The first three competitions will be held in the greater Sacramento area, including the season-opening Davis invitational on March 2. Opponents include UC San Diego and Gonzaga at the Port of Sacramento March 14.

    Katie McAuliffe arrived at Santa Clara University hoping to make her mark as a volleyball player. The senior will instead leave behind a legacy of rowing excellence after serving as team coxswain throughout her collegiate career.
