RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's rowing completed the 2017 season at the IRA National Championship Regatta on Sunday. All three of the Bronco boats competed in their respective fourth final.

"I am really proud of our team and their overall performance this weekend," Santa Clara head coach Jay Farwell said. "This is a really young team and we were able to get a lot of freshmen and sophomores experience at the highest level of collegiate rowing. The talent and depth of these teams at the IRA Regatta is incredibly impressive and to have Santa Clara University in the mix of things is a testament to our program."

The Varsity 8 finished in fifth place in the fourth final with a time of 5:51.927 to finish 23rd overall.

The 2nd Varsity 8 finished 24th overall with a time if 6:07.952 in the fourth final.

The 3rd Varsity 8 finished the fourth final in 6:16.037 to beat UC San Diego and finish 19th overall.

While this was the third year in a row that Santa Clara has sent the Varsity 8 to IRAs, it was the first time the program has sent multiple boats.
