STANFORD, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's golf team finished play at the U.S. Intercollegiate in 15th place after firing a final round 301 at the Stanford Golf Course.
Senior Sandy Horacek ended his collegiate career at Santa Clara with the lowest three-round total of any Bronco, finishing the tournament in a tie for 23rd with a total score of 5-over par, 218. His 2-over par, 73 on Sunday was tied for the low score on the day for SCU with Chris DeMartini and Jonathan Edwards.
DeMartini finished in a tie for 51st with a two-day total of 225 while Edwards finished the tournament in a tie for 69th with a total of 229.
Matt Klenz finished in a tie for 73rd with a three-round total of 230 following a final round score of 11-over, 82. Kevin Bric also fired a final round 82 en route to a finishing score of 237, placing him in a tie for 83rd to conclude the tournament.
