Lowe Earns All-America Scholar Status

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's golfer Scott Lowe has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar for the 2013-14 season by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Showing his leadership both on and off the course last season, Lowe, a Calgary, Alberta native, competed in all 33 rounds over 11 events tying for the team lead in par-or-better rounds with 10 while placing third with a 73.97 average.

He earned his second career top-5 finish when he posted a personal-best 54-hole score of 207 (-6) to tie for fifth place at the 2013 SCVB Pacific Invitational last November. Lowe also had three top-20 finishes in 2013-14 and ended his career with eight playing in 37 tournaments.

Lowe excelled in the classroom as well becoming the first Santa Clara men's golfer to be named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team three times.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
