Men’s Golf Competing in John A. Burns Intercollegiate

LIHUE, Hawaii – The Santa Clara men's golf team improved its second round score but remain in 15th place after two days of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate, competed at the 6,991-yard, par-72 Wailua Golf Course.

The Broncos followed Wednesday's 308 with a 303 today. Their 611 total leaves them 10 strokes behind BYU for 10th place. Cal is the only team below par leading the field with a 573 (-3) total heading into Friday's final round.

Tyler Kertson followed his first-round 1-under 71 with today's 77 and is the top individual Bronco tied for 21st at 4-over 148. New Mexico's Andrej Bevins and Arizona's George Cunningham enter the final round tied for first with a one-shot lead.

Santa Clara's best score of today's second round came from Hayden Shieh, who fired a 1-over 73. He moved up 14 spots on the leaderboard following his first round 81.
