SANTA CLARA, Calif. - With eight WCC teams competing in this week's St. Mary's Invitational, Santa Clara will get a good idea where they stand among league competition in the season's first tournament.
Derek Ackerman, a true-freshman from Half Moon Bay, has qualified for SCU. Also to note, Evan McLeod (pictured) a junior from Pebble Beach, qualified as well and is playing in his first tournament since missing the entire 2014-15 season with injury.
