Men's Golf Adds Ryan Johnson to Class of 2020

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's golf has signed Ryan Johnson to the class of 2020. Johnson will join the Broncos in 2016-17 from St. Helena High School.

Johnson won the Napa City Championship in 2014 and was the runner up at the 2016 FCWT at Bayonet and FCWT at PGA West. In 2015 he finished third at the PGA Jr. Series at Bayonet.

In high school he was a four-time league champion with the lowest scoring average in league history (69.83) and the lowest single season scoring average (67.12).

Away from the course he was a member of the French Honors Society, California Scholarship Federation, National Honor Society, and an AP Scholar. In his free time he enjoys basketball and fitness.
