The event concludes Tuesday on the 6,713-yard, par-70 Warren Golf Course.
"They played a good round today," head coach Rob Miller said of his squad. "It's nice to be in contention for a good finish and a top spot."
The Broncos tied for the third-lowest round of the day among the 15 competing teams and are 15 strokes behind leader Texas-El Paso, which is at even-par 560 for the tournament. The Broncos will enter final round play just seven shots behind second-place Illinois State and Notre Dame.

After bogeying each of the final three holes yesterday, Eyre III was 2-under over that stretch today to finish tied for 31st at 5-over 145. "Michiel finished a lot stronger today and that really helped us," Miller noted.
Freshman Matt McCarty entered the clubhouse in a tie for seventh after carding a 2-over 72. He's at 1-over 141 through two rounds.
Junior Hayden Shieh is tied with Eyre III at 145 after his second-round 2-over 72. Freshman Devrath Das had a two-stroke improvement with his second-round 75, finishing 36 holes with a 152 total. Competing as an individual, sophomore Derek Ackerman whittled four strokes off his first round score with Monday's 73 and is tied for 61st with a 150 total.
"It's really good for the guys to play well and have positive results," Miller added. "We're a young team and we need a round like this to gain some confidence. It's nice to be in the hunt for a good finish after what happened last tournament."
