SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its preseason golf teams this week and Santa Clara had two student-athletes voted among the best.

Kristin Le of the women's team and Hayden Shieh from the men's squad were voted preseason All-WCC by the league's coaches.

Le, a senior, was a first-team All-WCC selection each of the last two seasons. She is one of only two golfers in school history to qualify for the NCAA Championships (also Miki Ueoka) and her career scoring average of 75.86 is second on Santa Clara record.

A three-time NCAA Championships qualifier, Shieh has a career scoring average of 70.88 and earned first-team All-WCC honors in 2015-16 and 2016-17. The senior has 16 top 10 finishes, including three victories, in 35 career starts.

Both the men's and women's teams were picked to finish fourth in the 2018 WCC Championships.
