ORLANDO, Fla. – Buoyed by its season-opening victory at The Jackrabbit, the Santa Clara men's golf team is No. 4 in the most recent Golfweek team ranking.
In last week's three-day tournament in Valentine, Nebraska, the Broncos defeated three top 50 teams, including three – Missouri, Tennessee and Kansas - among the top 25.
Hayden Shieh earned his third-career victory in The Jackrabbit and is No. 6 in the nation among individuals after defeating a pair of top 25 players.
The initial Golfstat.com rankings of the season will be released on Oct. 15.
The Broncos open play in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational on Monday.
