Men's Golf 13th After 36 Holes at Tucker Intercollegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Alex Conley's 1-over-par 145 led the way for the Broncos on opening-day action at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate.

Conley had rounds of 72-73 on Friday and sits in a five-way tie for 21st in the 18-team event being held at New Mexico's Championship Course.

Nolan Forsman (72-76) and Jack Avrit (73-75) are each tied for 37th at 4-over 148 for the Broncos who are in 13th place at 17-over 593 (290-303) in their season-opening tournament.

BYU is first at 21-under 555 (285-270) and host New Mexico is second at 10-under 566 (282-284).

Aidan Thomas of New Mexico State leads the individual field at 11-under 133 (67-66), three shots ahead of Sam Choi of New Mexico 68-68=136.

Rounding out the Santa Clara lineup is Oscar Zimmerman who is tied for 68th at 8-over 152 (73-79) and Zack Kaneshiro who is tied for 81st at 10-over 154 (74-80).

Santa Clara is just three shots back of Nebraska which is in 10th. Those two teams are in a cluster of six schools within seven shots of each other from eighth to 13th place.
