Broncos Headed To Pebble Beach For Saint Mary's Invite - Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf is heading to Pebble Beach for a three-day stay at Poppy Hills for the Saint Mary's Invitational. The event tees off Monday morning and goes through Wednesday.

NOTES

This will be Santa Clara's last of four fall tournaments. The Broncos started with a great outing at the USF Invitational, tying for third at 1-over 853. SCU had five newcomers finish in the top-30 of the field in the Bronco debuts. SCU then finished 10th at the Bearcat Invitational and tied for seventh at the Alister Mackenzie Invite.
The stacked 16-team field for the Saint Mary's Invitational features the Broncos, host-Saint Mary's, No. 18 Colorado State, BYU, Pacific, Fresno State, LMU, San Diego, Washington State, Nevada, Grand Canyon, Chattanooga, Northern Illinois, Sacramento State, UTSA and UC Santa Barbara.
Santa Clara's lineup will be Viraj Garewal, Nolan Forsman, Alex Conley, Calder Overfelt and Eugenio Bernardi. Oscar Zimmerman will also play as an individual.
Garewal ranks second on the team with a 71.00 stroke average after three events. He also holds the lowest 18-hole score of the young season with a 66 at the USF Invitational.
The Broncos are averaging 73.02 strokes per round as a team.
Five individuals have finished in the top-20 at least once with Julian Paltrinieri and Nolan Forsman doing so twice. Garewal has the best finish on the team with a tie for sixth at the USF Invitational.
