PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- The Santa Clara men's golf team finished 9th in a field of 18 Tuesday at the Saint Mary's Invitational. Going into the last round the team was in 5th place, just eight shots back.
Sophomore Alex Bon finished in 15th place at +5 for the tournament to lead the Broncos.
Sophomore Jimmy Cacho, who was tied for fourth after two rounds at -1 shot a final round 79 to end up at +6.
Junior Jonathan Keane turned in a final round 76 to finish the tournament at +12.
Freshman Tyler Ichikawa, who was playing well and just +4 after two rounds had a rough day, shooting an 82 and finishing his first collegiate tournament 14 over.
Senior Blair Myers, who had had a difficult tournament going into the last round, shot a team best 74 in the final round. He finished at +18.
