SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's soccer program will host its First Annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose. Following the shotgun start at 1:30 p.m., there will be a dinner, awards ceremony, auction and raffle held inside the banquet room.

"We are looking to begin a new tradition for the men's soccer program with this tournament," said SCU men's soccer head coach Cameron Rast. "Not only do people get a chance to play a tremendously challenging golf course, but they get a chance to make an impact on future of the Men's Soccer program at Santa Clara University."

The price for the tournament is only $250 for a single player. Included in your registration fee is 18 holes of golf with a cart, range balls, lunch, dinner and a chance as some great prizes. There is also an option for dinner only, which costs $50 per person.

Bronco Men's Soccer supporters also have the option this year of becoming a Tee Sponsor for the tournament. There are four different levels of Tee Sponsorships, the first is the National Championship Package. Your $5000 sponsorship includes an entry fee for four golfers, four tee sponsor signs, recognition in the golf program, a large sign at check-in and four adidas soccer polo shirts, four adidas soccer sweatshirts and four adidas soccer hats.

The National Finalist Package costs $2500 and includes an entry fee in the tournament for two golfers, four tee sponsor signs, recognition in the golf program, a large sign at check-in and two adidas soccer polo shirts, two adidas soccer sweatshirts and two adidas soccer hats.

The National Semifinalist Package is $1000 and includes an entry fee in the tournament for one golfer, four tee sponsor signs, recognition in the golf program and an adidas soccer polo shirt. The final package, the Seeded Team Package, costs $500 and includes an entry fee in the tournament for one golfer, one tee sponsor sign and recognition in the golf program.

Cinnabar Hills Golf Club is located at 23600 McKeon Road in San Jose, Calif.


Cinnabar Hills Golf Club is located on the south side of San Jose. To get there take Highway 101 of 85 South and exit Bernal Road. Turn right on Bernal then make a left on Santa Teresa Blvd. Once on Santa Teresa you will make a right on Bailey Ave. and proceed to the end of the street. Once you reach the end you will make a left on McKean Road and proceed one mile where the entrance to the golf club will be on the left-hand side of the road.
