Keigo Kameya (KK), a senior forward for the Bronco Men's Soccer team, is giving it everything he has in the second half of WCC play. As this is his final season with the Broncos, Kameya is aiming non-higher than the National Championship. He looks forward to leaving everything he has on the field and having no regrets.
SCU: What are your personal goals for your final season with the Broncos?
KK: My personal goals for my season with the Broncos are to obviously make it to the Final Four of the NCAA tournament and win the national championship. As a senior, there is no other way I want to end my collegiate career. In addition to winning the national title, I aim to be First Team All-WCC.
SCU: What are you and your team's goals for the second half of WCC play this year?
KK: Our team goals for second half of WCC play are to win the remaining games to hopefully win conference. Personally I would like to score more goals to help my team achieve winning conference and do whatever I can to not concede goals.
SCU: What is the hardest part of playing forward?
KK: The hardest part of playing forward is positioning myself to score goals. Sometimes as a forward you have to assume where the crosses are going to get whipped in, and getting on the end of it. It is important to stay calm when it comes to finishing.
SCU: How are the freshmen adjusting to the WCC style and the team in general?
KK: The freshman class is awesome. They came in fit with high knowledge of the game. They are essential to our team because they make practice very intense and turn it into a competitive environment.
SCU: After graduation, what are your plans once you get out to the real world?
KK: After graduation, I am hoping to play at the next level. I don't know where it will take me, but soccer is my passion and it has been my dream to play professionally. Hopefully it will work out!
