McIntosh Invited to U.S. Soccer Collegiate National Team Camp

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Kendall McIntosh of Santa Clara men's soccer has been invited to the U.S. Soccer Collegiate National Team Camp. The camp will take place from Aug. 5-8 at the U.S. National Training Center in Carson, Calif. The camp will serve as an evaluation of college players ahead of the October qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He is the lone WCC representative to be invited.

"Kendall McIntosh being invited to the U.S. National Team Camp for U.S. players is a feather in his cap and another recognition of the quality of player he is," said Santa Clara head coach Cameron Rast. "We're very proud of the players from Santa Clara men's soccer that have played for our national team and he's going to be the next one in line at having a shot to impact soccer on the world stage. That's a tribute to him and his hard work and we wish him the best."

McIntosh started 13 games for the Broncos in 2014 before suffering a season-ending injury. He collected 48 saves with a .762 save percentage and four shutouts on the year.
