Men's Soccer Returns Home to Face Tulsa Thursday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer returns home to Stevens Stadium to take on Tulsa Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

In their lone game of the week, Santa Clara fell at Cal State Fullerton 2-0 on Friday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 2-1 all-time against Tulsa with the first meeting coming in 1999. Last season, the Broncos fell 2-1 in overtime on the road to the Golden Hurricanes.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (0-3) has gotten goals from Valdemar Andersen and Brandon Gillingham this season. The Broncos have attempted 33 shots and put 12 on goal. They have drawn nine corner kicks.

Carlos Delgadillo and Andres Jimenez lead the team with five shots each with Jimenez putting two on frame. Andersen and Gillingham have both taken three shots and put two on frame while three other Broncos have two shots on target each.

THE GOLDEN HURRICANES
Tulsa (0-1-1) started its season with a 2-2 tie against No. 25 Wisconsin at home before falling at Missouri State 2-0 in its next game.

The Golden Hurricanes have been outscored 4-2 on the year but hold a 30-19 advantage in shots and a 14-7 edge in shots on goal. They have drawn 11 corner kicks and surrendered 10.

Miguel Velasquez and Rollie Rocha have each scored one goal and Kay Duit has the lone assist. Velsquez leads the team with eight shots and has put three on frame while Juan Sanchez has taken six shots and put a team-high four on target.

Cooper Clark has allowed four goals for a 1.80 GAA. He has made three saves and has a .429 save percentage.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
