SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Sophomore Sam Agosti of Santa Clara men's soccer was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.  

 

CoSIDA recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance athletically and in the classroom. 

 

Agosti carries a 3.933 grade point average as a business major.  The Seattle native has appeared in 14 matches, including starting in all six West Coast Conference matches with two assists to his credit.  The forward has logged 548 minutes in conference play out of 561 available minutes.  

 

The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada.  The honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third- team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
