Meet the Future of Bronco Men’s Soccer – Presten Manthey
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer announced the fourth member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Presten Manthey.  The forward/midfielder attended Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas.

"I chose Santa Clara because of the available opportunities, both in the classroom and on the soccer field. The soccer program is great and the coaches are highly respected throughout the country. When I attended my official visit, I knew Santa Clara was the place I wanted to be for the next four years. The people I met and the things I saw sold me. I felt Santa Clara was a perfect fit for me right from the start," said Manthey.

Having already graduated from Palo Verde High, Manthey is already in the Bay Area working on his game.

"Presten is a soccer junkie.  Moving away from home to start working on his game before most players are done with their high school tells you all about him.  That part we absolutely love because he has so much he wants to prove and he wants to work at it.  He has great ability on the ball in the attacking part of his game.  I think he might be able to unbalance some teams with the way he runs at them.  He loves to take players on and that's a mindset of his," said Broncos head coach Cameron Rast.

Our next future Bronco, Bishop Washington, will be announced the week of March 12.
