Men’s Soccer Signs Jamaica U-20 National Team Player
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer signed Damani Osei, a Jamaica U-20 National Team player, to a National Letter-Of-Intent to join the program for the 2019 season.  Broncos head coach Cam Rast made the announcement.

"I chose Santa Clara because I enjoyed the interaction and the camaraderie of the coaching staff and the team.  The Mission Campus is beautiful and Santa Clara is an excellent institution.  Besides that, you can't beat California's weather," said Osei.

Osei, who attends Cosby High in Midlothian, Virginia, played on the Jamaica U-17 and U-20 National Teams along with the Portland Timbers Academy.  Last season, the 6-foot-1, left-back led Cosby High with 10 goals and 10 assists to help the Titans to a Class 6A state title, its first state championship ever, helping him get selected to the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Boys Soccer Second Team by TopDrawerSoccer.com

"Damani has some high level ability and even more potential.  It's why we are so excited about him.  He has gained international and pro youth club experience with Jamaica U20's and Portland Timbers over the last year.  This fact and that he is left footed and can play anywhere on that side, makes him a great value for our team going forward," said Rast.
