Men’s Soccer Announces Spring Schedule
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer released its 2019 spring schedule that includes eight matches with four of those at Stevens Stadium.

"For the 2019 spring schedule, we wanted to have a lot of games to make sure that the squad we have returning gets plenty of opportunities to evaluate themselves and the best way to do that is to play opponents," said Broncos head coach Cam Rast.  "So we have three dates where we are playing multiple games in a day.  And that's going to allow us to work with each and every one of our players as they will get plenty of playing time in those games."

The first three games will be played at home starting with a doubleheader on April 14 against Notre Dame de Namur and Chico State followed by a match up with Cal on April 19.

"We play against a couple of Division II teams to start off and those are good teams that have had some success.  It's a good way for us to get our feet wet and those teams will undoubtedly be highly motivated, as we should be, but we will need to be able to play well in each of those games," said Rast.

The Broncos then play the next four games on the road.  On April 27, Santa Clara travels to Santa Cruz to play the Santa Cruz Breakers PDL before playing San Jose State in the evening at San Jose.

The following weekend, SCU goes to Davis to take on UC Davis and Sonoma State in the last of the doubleheader matches.

The spring session wraps up with a home match against Stanford on May 17.
