Robinson Picked Preseason All-WCC; Men’s Soccer Picked Sixth

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer player Miles Robinson was named to the preseason All-West Coast Conference team by a vote of the league's eight head coaches, it was announced on Monday.  The Broncos were selected to finish sixth by a vote of the same panel.  
 
Robinson, a senior from Woodbridge, Virginia, earned All-WCC second team honors last season when he was second on the team with 11 points scoring four goals and assisting on three while playing in all 17 matches.  The outside midfielder started in nine matched logging 983 minutes scoring a pair of goals against Gonzaga (Oct. 26) for his first multi-goal match.  
 
Saint Mary's, coming of an unbeaten season, was the unanimous choice to repeat for the 2019 WCC title.  The Broncos host the Gaels in the WCC opener on Oct. 12.  
 
Santa Clara opens the 2019 regular season campaign against Holy Cross this Friday with the kick off at 2 p.m.
