Men’s Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer announced its 2023 schedule featuring nine home contests and against four 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

The Broncos play a total of 17 regular season matches including 10 nonconference and the customary seven conference games.

Three of the four NCAA Tournament teams, Georgetown, Portland and San Diego, will be coming to Stevens Stadium - Buck Shaw Field while the Broncos play the fourth qualifier, Stanford, on the road.

Santa Clara will be challenged from the get-go, opening the season against Georgetown on Aug. 24 and a week later travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to face UNLV (Aug. 31) in the desert heat.

Four home and away matches each are scheduled for September.  The home contests include Oregon State (Sept. 4), UC San Diego (Sept. 14), CSU Bakersfield (Sept. 21) and CSUN (Sept. 24).  The road matches are at Incarnate Word (Sept. 7), Houston Christian University (Sept. 10) plus a short trek to San José State (Sept. 17) before opening West Coast Conference play at Saint Mary's (Sept. 30) to close out the month.

In league play, Santa Clara will host Portland (Oct. 6), San Francisco (Oct. 25), San Diego (Oct. 28) and Pacific (Nov. 11) in the regular season finale.

Conference road contests include the aforementioned game at Saint Mary's along with LMU (Oct. 21) and Gonzaga (Nov. 4).

In the middle of the WCC slate is a road contest at Stanford (Oct. 9).

Santa Clara plays two exhibition matches at Cal (Aug. 13) and a home match against UC Davis (Aug. 16) prior to the Aug. 24 regular season opener.
