MORAGA, Calif. - Sophomore Taylor Bedilion won two matches this afternoon and advanced to the semifinals of the consolation singles bracket at the OMNI Hotels ITA Regional, hosted by Saint Mary's in Moraga.

Bedilion, of San Anselmo, defeated Niclas Otte of Pacific in a come-from-behind victory, taking a 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 decision. He advanced to the quarterfinal round and defeated Greg Shearer of Fresno State in straight sets.

"Taylor had a very high first-serve percentage," head coach George Husack said. "He did great in using his speed and transition through the net. It was very effective in setting up points for him."

Bedilion's semifinal opponent will be the winner of the match between Oregon's Thomas Bieri and California's Kevin Patrick. The contest will begin at 10 a.m. at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.

The Broncos return to action next week when they participate in the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships, hosted in Los Angeles. The tournament begins Wednesday, Nov. 6 and runs through Nov. 7.
