SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara Classic scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled due to rainy weather that has struck the Bay Area.
The Bronco men's tennis team was set to close out fall play by hosting the invitational. Action was to take place Friday through Sunday at the SCU Tennis Center, but the storm is expected to last through Saturday. Members from Fresno State University and the University of San Francisco were scheduled to join the Broncos in the tournament.
Santa Clara will open spring play on January 18, when the team hosts UC Santa Cruz at the SCU Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 10 a.m.
