Season Wrap-Up...
The Broncos celebrated their season at the annual team banquet. Hosted by Rick and Beth Ruso, the event featured plenty of sunshine, tasty barbecue, swimming and relaxation. Senior Erich Chen was named Bronco of the Year for his attitude, effort, support of teammates, match results and best representation of the program. Chen completed a very successful career and is now the all-time leader in career singles and doubles victories. Gernot Fischer was awarded the Roy T. Zepponi Rookie of the Year award. He earned All-WCC honors in singles and doubles, as well as registered the highest individual singles (No. 54) and doubles (No. 49) national rankings in program history. Freshman Bobby Rasmussen was a unanimous selection for Most Improved Bronco as he recorded 10 wins in his first 11 dual matches, with notable victories over Arizona State, San Diego State and Pacific. The Mad Dog of the Year was awarded once again to Taylor Bedilion for his countless clutch performances. He recorded a very solid season at the No. 2 singles slot and finds himself within striking distance of Erich Chen's singles record. The infamous Bronco Fan of the Year honors were presented to George and Annie Husack and Mike Kukreja. The Husacks managed the Hecklers on the Hill tennis booster group, while Kukreja's passionate support was present all season long. A photo gallery of the event can be viewed online. Congratulations Broncos!

New Bronco Logo...
Santa Clara University released a new family of logos and word marks for its intercollegiate athletics, club sports and recreation programs. The new identity system is intended to capture the rich tradition of Bronco Athletics as well as appeal to a variety of demographics. The primary mark introduces a new Bronco logo that has been absent from the athletic department for several years, while the Block SC has received an update that provides dimension and definition. In addition, the department will continue to use cardinal red and white as its official colors, while utilizing grey and black as accent colors in many of the new logos and marks. The project began over a year ago with an internal review of existing athletic marks and their ability to accurately reflect the energy and direction of the department. A committee, comprised of a cross-section of individuals from various constituencies on campus helped provide direction to the design process.
